Hoefer
& Arnett Advisors
Investment Approach
At Hoefer & Arnett Advisors, we use
an investment approach that seeks to identify and invest
in undervalued companies-not only to own the stocks, but
to own the underlying businesses. We believe that the value
of a share of stock in a company is ultimately driven by
the earnings potential of the underlying business. Simply
stated, over time stock prices follow company fundamentals.
A key element to outstanding investment performance is the
discipline and patience to maintain principles that stand
the test of time.
Before we invest in a company, we evaluate
the key factors that will determine the long term profitability
of that company, including its management, competitors,
technological advantages and market growth, plus external
and market influences such as the regulatory environment
and demographic trends. Only when we're satisfied that this
is a business we want to own do we consider at what price
we want to own it. We seek opportunities both when we buy
and when we sell. We don't speculate that a stock will rise
or fall; we invest in businesses that we believe have great
long-term potential and are selling for an attractive price.
While other considerations such as taxes can affect our
decisions, generally we will divest of a business when we
can sell it for significantly more than its rational value.
Relationships Matter
Hoefer & Arnett Advisors does more than
pay lip-service to the concept of relationship management,
getting to know our clients, their families and their financial
and personal objectives. We make a practice of meeting and
talking with our clients regularly.
Our process begins with in-depth conversations about your
current situation, your long term objectives, your income
requirements and your overall risk tolerance. We will typically
review your estate and tax planning status and often will
work closely with your accountant, attorney and other advisors.
Once we have a clear picture of your short- and long-term
needs, we'll craft an investment strategy that will guide
our management of your accounts.
