Asset Finance Services

Asset Finance Services ("AFS") is dedicated to assisting community banks in the management of their loans and assets by focusing on the asset growth or disposition needs of each of its individual bank partners regardless of size. AFS offers three primary strategic consulting and market execution services:

For Performing Loans: AFS identifies, qualifies and arranges both sales and purchases of performing loans in virtually all asset classes. AFS serves as a syndication department for banks that lack or do not wish to develop internal resources to buy or sell loans.

For Non-performing Loans and Assets: AFS advises banks on the market valuation and discreet disposition of distressed portfolios. AFS provides access to most relevant investors depending on asset class.

For Independent & Objective Evaluations: AFS Risk Mitigation Services ("RMS"). Since many banks are also under capital constraints, it is often not realistic to sell at a deep discount, nor is it realistic to wait for regulatory assistance or a turnaround in the real estate market. In situations where the bank is still undecided about a course of action, RMS strategic consulting services can help to identify the issues and the costs of alternative strategies. RMS is a cost effective means for a bank to benefit from:

  • Loan valuation and loan review services, coupled with management of downward trending credit migration to help minimize potential downside risk
  • Due diligence services in advance of sales or acquisitions, capital raises, external reviews and audits
  • Loan life-cycle best practices consultancy and plans to enhance credit management
  • A focused approach that concentrates efforts on only those assets that will deliver the greatest impact – whether that means the highest realizations upon disposition, or identifying loans that need immediate attention before further deterioration occurs

The objective and independent counsel offered by AFS has positioned countless banks for success. By successfully serving numerous community banks, our battle tested secondary market insight and suggested plans of attack deliver a seasoned course of action unique to a bank’s set of challenges. Possessing this unambiguous insight empowers a bank with the unique knowledge of how best to proactively deal with its issues. So, what is the latest mindset of bank executives? Our clients:

  • Realize that the stress and asset devaluations should continue for some time to come.
  • Understand that virtually every bank has been impaired
  • Remain aware of investment marks, as well as net deposit flow
  • Realize that it’s finally time to create and implement a course of action
  • Seek advice and counsel from trusted, independent and objective resources like AFS
